Tobii calls the REX a gaze interaction incidental: it attaches to a Personal computer's showing. The Swedish company said it is the premiere such device for the consumer market.

To keep up track of what the user is looking at, Tobii uses two specially built modality sensors.
Developers will be the first to get their hands on the REX: A special developer edition of the peripheral will go on sale next week, according to Hyléen.
"We want to build a larger community of developers that can create applications with middle control unified. So we then fundament offer consumers a richer product during the last half of the class," she said.
The Tobii REX Developer Variant costs $995, and to boot to the peripheral, the package likewise includes an SDK (software development kit) and past support materials needed to help developers get started in an area most aren't familiar with.
